The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received the societal peace shield presented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine on the role of the university and its active participation in the conference held by the shrine in the holy governorate of Karbala.
The conference included professors from administration and economics college and the Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center presenting researches that were praised by the Scientific Committee of the First National Conference on Reducing Extremism and Terrorism, which was held by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine under the title (Al-Qaeda and ISIS Threaten the Societal Peace).
