Instructor Maysa Banai Zubeiri at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah obtained a certificate of participation in the training workshop (Iraqi universities in the SCImago classification) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The workshop included a lecture on the importance of the SCImago classification (SIR), which is one of the important indicators that compare the performance of countries in international scientific publishing, counting the number of published research, calculating citations and the size of citations for each research, as well as the Hirsch index. Where this international classification ranks universities and research centers according to a composite index that combines three different indicators based on research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%) and societal impact (20%), and each main indicator includes many sub-indicators numbering up to 17 Sub-indicator, provided that the institution publishes at least 100 searches in the SCOPUS database in the year of the assessment.
