The aim of holding the orientation week was to enlighten the students about the nature of university life. During his meetings with the students of the first stage of all departments of the college, the Dean addressed that the university stage represents an important and fundamental turning point in the students’ lives, as it is not considered a transition from one academic stage to another, but rather a transition from the stage of late adolescence to The youth stage is a stage of psychological and intellectual development and a stage of preparation for professional life after graduation
In his conversation with the students, the scientific assistant stressed the college’s examination system and the absences counting system, while the administrative assistant stressed the students’ discipline law and other decisions related to the student’s university life, which control students’ behavior with their colleagues, their professors and the rest of the college staff.
The Director of the Counseling Unit stressed the most important difficulties that the student faces in his new stage of study, and pointed out the most important strategies that help students achieve psychological adjustment, the most important of which is the strategy of time management and self-management.
The heads of departments also talked about the importance of accepting students in their scientific specialization and explained to them the future visions related to their specialization and the professions associated with it.
