The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, received an instructor of Arabic calligraphy at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad, Abdul Kareem Abd Thabet.
The instructor presented some paintings to make models at the university’s sites, and the approval of the President of the University of Basrah was obtained to send one of the works to the specialized art workshop for implementation.
It is worth mentioning that the instructor, Abdul Kareem Abd Thabet, won the first prize in Arabic Thuluth writing at Osita International Organization in Istanbul. He has many awards and participations in the Dubai International Museum for writing three parts of the Holy Quran.
