Researchers at the College of Pharmacy at Basrah University, Shahd Muhammad Najeeb, Dr. Osama Ayoub Yaqoub, and Dr. Mohsin Saghir Ghalib, have published a paper entitled (Renoporotective Effect of Taxifolin and/or Vitamin C on Diazinon-Induced Renal Injury) in the Egyptian Bulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences Assiut University with an impact factor of 0.9 and within Scopus containers.
The research included studying the effect of pesticides in Iraq which, when used increasingly in the wrong way, leads to an increase in the incidence of chronic diseases such as chronic nephropathy, diabetes and other metabolic disorders.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the synergistic effect of antioxidants in the combination therapy of taxifolin and vitamin C against diazinon-induced renal injury.
The study showed that using Taxifulolin and Vitamin C has a protective effect for the kidneys against oxidative stress caused by Diazinon.
