The College of Dentistry University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture under the title "Green Chemistry" and its importance in reducing the negative effects on human's health and environment.
The lecture that was delivered by Assistant. Lecturer Dr. Hazim Saad, a full definition of green chemistry and it's benefits for human health and the environment, and the twelve principles of green chemistry, which included reducing waste, maximizing the economy in corn, and designing formulations for the use and generation of materials with little to no toxicity.
Furthermore, the lecture aims to increase the safety of the chemical products, reducing the production of dangerous wastes and decreasing the usage of the non-renewable materials required in producing chemical products.
Finally, the lecture concluded that the green chemistry are chemicals that doesn't produce contamination even on a molecular level, and reducing the negative effects of the products and chemical processes on the human health and the environment.
