Assistant. Professor Dr. Fateh Al-Khakani, Dean of the College of Dentistry, opened the chess contest which was held by the college with the cooperation with the Students Activities Department in the University of Basrah on Tuesday, March 15th.
The contest saw the attendance of Assistant. Professor. Dr. Rafid Mustafa AlBadr, Dean's Assistant in Administrative Affairs and Dr. Atheer Abbas, the person behind organizing the contest in the Students Activities Department in the University of Basrah,and Dr.Huda Mahdi Younes, the supervisor of the competition in the college.
12 students from all stages participated in the competition, and the preliminary qualifiers for the competition took place with the victory of Mustafa Firas, Jaber Hisham and Ali Adnan. The winners of the competition will be eligible to participate in the university championship, which will be held on the college campus on March 23th.
