
During a meeting with the Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Knowledge Foundation, Mr. Jamal Bin Huwaireb, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abdul Sahib stressed on that Iraq has a rich legacy of knowledge and science, and that Iraqi academic institutions are moving steadily to enhance their competitive scores and presence in global rankings and in the knowledge index, which ranks countries via evaluating their specialized sectors according to major indicators on Higher Education, research development, innovation, information technology and communication, economy and enabling environment.
His Excellency said that the aspects of cooperation are continuing with Mohammed Bin Rashid Knowledge Foundation and the United Nations Development Program to enhance the results achieved by Iraq in the results of the 5th edition of the knowledge index issued by the Higher Education sector, which ranked 66th globally.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting came during the activities of the second day of the Knowledge Summit, whose sessions were devoted to review the report foreseeing the future of knowledge in light of the international changes.
