The College of Nursing at the University of Basrah organized a cultural symposium on Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him).
The symposium included verses of the Holy Qur’an. The symposium began with a speech by Prof. Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah al-Mousawi, Dean of the College, during which he explained that these religious ceremonies, which in reality express the sincerity of belonging to religion, the first of which comes in adhering to the belief of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him), would create a conscious society that adheres to the principles of the true religion, which calls for tolerance and renounces extremism.
