A master's thesis was discussed at the College of Agriculture at University of Basrah The effect of adding gibberellic acid on the growth, yield and quality of sunflower oil. The letter included the researcher Abdul Amir Mahdi Jarallah Studying the effect of four concentrations of gibberellic acid (0, 100, 200, 300 ppm) and three levels of water tension (100%, 75%, 50%). The results of the thesis showed that the concentration of gibberellic acid 100 ppm recorded the highest average in the trait (leaf area, total seed yield and percentage of oil), while the water tension level exceeded 100% of the field capacity and recorded the highest average for the above traits. The interaction effect was significant between gibberellic acid concentrations and water stress levels in most growth, yield and quality traits. The thesis aims to study the effect of four concentrations of gibberellic acid and three levels of water stress on field capacity and the interaction between them on the growth, yield and quality of sunflower oil for the cultivar Aqmar. Recommended letter Spray gibberellic acid at a low concentration of 100 ppm on sunflower plants because high concentrations have a negative effect on plants, and it is preferable to be one spray after 45 days of planting to achieve economic feasibility due to the high prices of gibberellic acid. To face the water stress and reduce waste in water resources, it is possible to add 150 liters of water to the experimental unit because there are no significant significant differences compared to adding 200 liters to the experimental unit. Conducting more studies on the use of gibberellic acid spraying under different environmental conditions and studying different environmental stresses such as salt or thermal stress to know the response of gibberellic acid to reduce the impact of these stresses
