Within the scientific cooperation concluded between the University of Basrah and the International Oil Services Company, Halliburton, the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on evaluating liners used in drilling, presented by Haider Walid Al-Saffar, the consulting engineer at Halliburton Company.
The workshop aims to introduce students to the use of an oil program specialized in designing well linings, StressCheck, granted by the company to support the oil department, which contributes to the development of the department’s curricula by addressing real problems and their solutions in the Iraqi oil fields, which increases the awareness of present students and future engineers.
