The thesis concluded that the temperature has an effect on all life aspects of the diamond-back moth, and the temperature of 30 °C is the most suitable for the growth and development of different life roles, and that the resistant varieties of Al-Hana crop that contained high levels of anthocyanins, carotene, phenols, protein content and glucosinolates. The letter recommended the adoption of the system of accumulated thermal units to predict the date of the appearance of the diamond-back moth in Basra Governorate, which was set at a rate of approximately 18.5 thermal units for the purpose of implementing insect control programs. And the cultivation of plant varieties resistant to the infestation of the diamond-back moth. And the search for effective pesticides from different chemical groups to reduce the chance of resistance by the moth against pesticides.
