A master's thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, discussed the serum level and gene expression of IL-12, IL-23 and IL-27 in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia related to response to standard therapy measured by blood profile. The research presented by student Doaa Riyad Alwan aims to shed light on the serum levels and expression of interleukins IL12, IL23 and IL27 among children with lymphoblastic leukemia patients who were admitted to Basrah Specialized Teaching Hospital for Children during the period from November 2020 to May 2021. The concentration of interleukins IL12, IL23 and IL27 was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), by an ELISA reader from BioTek Company. While gene expression was done by qPCR-RT, qTOWER3 machine from Jeana-Analytic, and included RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis. The data of the current study was also analyzed using the (X2 square-Chi) test to compare the percentages. Numerical data were described by mean ± standard deviation.
