Within the scientific cooperation concluded between the Department of Petroleum Engineering and the International Oil Services Company, Halliburton, the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah held an engineering workshop entitled “Designing liners used for drilling.” The workshop presented by Haider Walid Al-Saffar, the consulting engineer at Halliburton Company, dealt with the use of an oil program specialized in the design of well liners CasingSeat Granted by the company to support the oil department, which contributes to the development of the department's curricula by addressing the real problems and their solutions in the Iraqi oil fields
The aim is to familiarize students with the use of the petroleum program, which increases the awareness of present students and future engineers.
