A master’s thesis research in the Department of Psychological Counseling and
Educational Guidance / College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra ((on the trend towards social power and self-deception among university students)) for the student (Hanan Fakher Muhammad) and the thesis dealt with a study (the orientation variable towards social power and the variable of selfdeception). among university students, and knowing the relationship between them, as well as studying the significance of statistical differences in the relationship between orientation towards social power and self-deception among university students according to the gender variable (males, females) and the significance of statistical differences in the relationship between orientation toward social power and self-deception among university students according to For the variable of specialization (scientific, human).
The study included a study (building two scales for the variables of orientation towards social power and self-deception)
The thesis concluded, ((The two research samples enjoyed the variables of social power and self-deception, and the presence of a direct relationship between the two variables, and statistically significant differences for the male group over the female group, and the presence of significant differences in favor of human specialization)).
