The Basrah University Chess Championship was concluded with the male and female student teams at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah winning the first place in the Chess Championship for male and female students, which is organized by the Student Activities Department at the University of Basrah in cooperation with the College of Dentistry.
As the team of the College of Engineering participated under the supervision of Dr. Nassar Ismail Fares and Dr. Maysoon Abdel Jalil, who are responsible for sports activities in the College of Engineering.
Which was by special arbitration through the Sub-Chess Federation in Basra in the Swiss System, where each college participated in two teams, males team and females team, and the championship resulted in the College of Engineering’s team winning the first place for both genders.
