The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on green chemistry and its importance in reducing negative effects on human health and the environment.
The lecture presented by Hazem Saad included a comprehensive definition of green chemistry and its benefits for human health and the environment and its role in reducing waste and achieving maximum economy in atom and designing formulations for the use and generation of materials with little or no toxicity.
The lecture aims to increase the safety of chemical products, reduce the production of hazardous waste and reduce the use of non-renewable resources in the production of chemicals.
The lecture concluded that green chemistry are chemicals that do not pollute even at the molecular level and reduce the negative effects of chemical products and processes on human health and the environment.
