The representative of the US Embassy in Baghdad, Mr. Muhannad Fadel Al-Uqaili, visited the University of Basrah, and was received by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs of the University, Dr. Zaki Abdullah Ahmed, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, Dr. Mohsen Abdul-Hay Dasher, and a number of employees working in the Global Corner.
The two parties discussed ways to obtain study opportunities for students of Basrah University to study in American universities in coordination with the missions department in the ministry, to benefit from the available research in the United States of America and to exchange scientific experiences.
The two parties reviewed the role and contributions provided by the US Embassy in terms of cultural and scientific support to the University of Basrah, the basic foundations of the scientific agreement concluded between the two parties, observing and studying the desired scientific dimension of this agreement, as well as planning ways to promote and raise the performance of joint work by exchanging visits and raising the level of representation between American universities and the University of Basrah, with a discussion of the mechanisms of joint action.
