A research team at the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah published a paper on the neurophysiology of inflammatory peripheral neuropathy after infection with the Covid-19 virus.
This disease is considered a rare disease, but there has been a noticeable increase in infection in the post-Corona period, which requires early diagnosis of this disease for the purpose of obtaining optimal treatment and avoiding serious complications. As the patient suffers from difficulty walking and muscle weakness with nerve pain, it is diagnosed clinically and by neuromuscular examination.
The research concluded that there is an increase in the rate of its occurrence in patients infected with corona up to six times compared to patients not previously infected with the virus.
