The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on tissue culture and its future prospects.
The workshop aimed to introduce the tissue culture system without the use of sucrose (autotrophic farming system) and its importance in reducing plant production costs and using it in the plant treatment system for pollutants and the production of secondary compounds.
The workshop, in which the instructor, Dr. Abdel Moneim Hussein Ali, lectured, included a general definition of textile agriculture and the types of textile cultures.
