Under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Musawi, Dean of the College of Nursing at Basra University, our college organized an inspection visit to the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Basra. The visit was attended by the teacher Farhan Layz Ayez and the teacher Dr. Fatima Jassim Muhammad and M. M Noha Saeed Kazem and teacher ideas Fadel Karim and m. M. Saja Karim Jassem and m. M Khadija Muhammad Jassim and m. M Iman Hanash Rahi and m. Eng. Zainab Salman Dawood, faculty members in the college, with the participation of first-year students. The visit aimed to see the conditions of children with cancer, stand by them, raise their morale, and add joy and pleasure to their souls. Where a field visit was made to the hospital, which includes a number of children with cancer and blood diseases from Basra and a number of southern Iraq governorates. Through the visit, gifts and some financial grants were presented to them, encouraging the need to provide volunteer work that can serve this category of sick children. The teacher, Farhan Layz Ayez, one of the teachers accompanying the team, stated that the visit was among the continuous and supportive activities carried out by the college to the Basra Specialized Hospital for Children to provide some medical and treatment materials, as well as providing psychological support and gifts to sick children. On his part, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Amir Abdullah Al-Moussawi, Dean of the College, affirmed the College’s intention to continue the visits and provide support to children with cancerous diseases to stand by them and raise their morale. |
