The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the role of platelets rich in plasma and fibrin in the regeneration of tissues surrounding teeth.
The lecture given by the instructor, Reham Adnan Radhy, included the methods of preparing these platelets l, their various uses, and the effective role of platelets rich in fibrin (PRF) in treating the periodontal pockets surrounding the tooth by regenerating the cells surrounding the tooth because it contains stem cells and growth factors that have the ability to stimulate cells growth and proliferation.
The lecture aims to introduce the use of platelet rich with plasma (PRP) technique and platelet rich with fibrin (PRF) technique in the treatment of many pathological conditions.
