Instructors at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Dr. Shakir Abdul-Salem Nehme, Dr. Rita Sabah Elias, and the instructor at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Dr. Bahjat Ali Saeed, translated the book (Advanced Scientific Organic Chemistry) by authors John Leonard, Barry Leeko and Carrie Prector from English into Arabic.
The book included (17) chapters and (376) pages and it was printed by Dar Al-Kutub for Printing and Publishing at the University of Basrah.
This practical book covers to a large extent most of the modern techniques commonly used in organic synthesis and is based on the experience in establishing research teams in the field of synthetic organic chemistry and the contribution of researchers in some advanced laboratories in this field. It is also considered an adequate guide that allows the researcher to conduct chemical reactions under the conditions that allow the greatest degree of success.
It is also a book addressed to postgraduate students and students of advanced stages of undergraduate university studies and to chemists working in the field of industry, especially those who specialize in pharmaceuticals, agricultural materials and other highly specialized chemical research.
