The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled (The Role of Governance in Developing the Performance of Governmental Banks / A Field Study in Rafidain Bank).
The panel discussion, in which Professor Dr. Ahmed Jassim Muhammad lectured, aimed to know the extent to which banking governance is applied in the Rafidain Bank, to identify the strengths of the Rafidain Bank as a result of the application of banking governance and to reveal the obstacles to the application of banking governance facing the Rafidain Bank.
The panel discussion touched upon the need to transfer greater powers to the delegate's offices and managers, and to establish a dedicated committee for governance at Rafidain Bank.
