At the Department of History at the College of Arts / University of Basrah, a master's thesis entitled( the role of working women in Iraq 1921-1968) was discussed.
The thesis presented by the student Nada Nassar Najm Abdul-Hussein included three chapters. The first chapter discussed the factors that helped women enter the field of work for the period (1921-1968), the second chapter included the fields of Iraqi women's work for the period (1921-1968), and the third chapter dealt with the impact of women's work on Iraqi society.
The thesis aims to identify the role of Iraqi women working in Iraq for the period that was determined from 1921-to 1968 AD because there is no study touch on women and the fields of work that they practiced during that period and to identify her clear role in the social, economic and political aspects as well as the extent of her impact on the reality of Iraqi society and the effects that resulted from her exit.
The thesis concluded that the Iraqi woman was able to prove her existence and her aptitude in practicing various works, which included household chores and family requirements besides being engaged in other work that may be within the domain of her work in administrative jobs, factories, or private businesses she was practicing, she was able to keep pace with the stages of change that occurred in the reality of women in Arab and European societies.
