The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah organized a specialized workshop entitled (Future prospects for the national industry in Iraq/2).
The workshop dealt with several topics, including the plans of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to return to the national industry, future prospects for the fertilizer industry, the role of research centers in supporting the industrial sector, the role of the private sector in the development of the national industry, and the contributions of the University of Basrah in supporting the industrial sector.
The workshop aims to review the recommendations prepared in the previous workshop that was held in 2020, and to discuss the most important developments in the field of fertilizer industry in Iraq and the most important technical and industrial measures to restore the national industry in Iraq to the level it should reach and to indicate the plans sought by the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and related institutions to advance this vital sector. The role of universities and other government institutions in supporting the industrial sector was also presented.
