A doctoral thesis at the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed (the study of gene expression under the influence of abiotic stresses for date palm buds, phenoxi dactylifera, cultivar Barhi, cultivated tissue and their genetic matching) The thesis included the researcher (Mofeed Daher Talib). Cultivation of vegetative buds of date palm Al-Barhi cultivar in media containing different saline concentrations in addition to media containing fluoroglycinol compound. The result of the match is close with a genetic dimension of 0.99, and exposing the buds to high salt concentrations led to changes in the protein pattern, as it was observed that protein bundles with low molecular weights were formed, and salt concentrations led to an increase in the levels of gene expression of ABA and PROTs genes. The thesis concluded that low salt concentrations can be used as a support for the growth medium to stimulate the buds to resist salt stress. The thesis recommended a comparative genetic study of salt stress genes and the addition of low concentrations of sodium chloride in media as a growth support material.
