The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra held an extra-curricular activity for the Environmental Awareness course for students of the Department of Earth Sciences.
The activity included planting a number of trees and plants in the gardens of the College of Science to combat desertification. The activity was supervised by the lecturer, Shaima Saeed Rahim, and in the presence of the department's rapporteur, Dr. Nasser Abdullah Helou.
