The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the web and the possibility of using it to monitor air pollution.
The seminar, in which a master's student, Hoda Zuhair, lectured, aimed to explain the types of spider webs, their characteristics, and their environmental importance.
The seminar dealt with the scientific methods used in collecting and keeping nets.
The study aimed to estimate air pollution rates with heavy metals and hydrocarbons and the possibility of using the nets as a vital guide to monitor this pollution for different areas in Basra Governorate.
