The President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, announced the time of the final results of the Times Higher Education Awards ceremony (Oscar for Higher Education) in Japan at eight o'clock Tokyo time and two o'clock Baghdad time.
Hammadi added that choosing Basrah University among the best (8) universities in Asia among (508) universities in the field of arts within the project of the College of Fine Arts in its pioneering project (Tamkeen) is a great achievement that counts for Iraq in general, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the University of Basrah in particular.
He also added, "We hope that the joy of our candidacy will be completed by the university's obtaining one of the first three ranks for this competition, which is a source of pride for all university staff."
