A scientific study at the University of Basrah prepared by researchers Dr. Abbas Hamid Muhammad Dr. Fahd Mansour and researcher Shatha Abbas Mohsen in the Department of Geology at the College of Science entitled (Microfossils ,Foraminifera and Calcareous Algae, of the Yamama Formation, Southern Iraq) the study aims to be published in the Journal of Geological sciences classified within Scopus Q3 containers to diagnose fossils and the possibility of distinguishing them in rocky slices to benefit from them in the field of stratigraphy, interpretation and comparison between sedimentary environments and the study of ancient geography
