The President of Basrah University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, won the gold medal with a scientific team composed of Dr. Ghaida Jassim Abdul Nabi and Dr. Amin Al-Salami from the College of Education for Pure Sciences for their scientific participation in the European Exhibition of Innovation and Invention that was held in Romania.
The scientific team won, by participating with the study titled(Single step method for rapid isolation and identification of Mycoplasma pneumonia from clinical specimens), the gold medal with the participation of more than 65 countries and 500 international researchers.
It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah had earlier won the gold and silver medals as one of the eight best universities in Asia at the summit held in the Japanese city of Nagoya, through two projects, the first being team management, and the second being innovation and excellence in the field of art for this year 2022.
