The two faculty members at the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah, Dr. Wasfi Zahir Abd Ali and researcher Louay Shihab Abdel Wahed, with the participation of a number of college students, published a paper entitled (Assessment of nurses' knowledge of myocardial infarction).
The research, which was published in the American Warren Journal, explained the assessment of nurses' knowledge of heart infarction disease because this disease is widespread and knowledge of medical procedures and nursing care is considered one of the elements to preserve the lives of the patients.
The aim of the research is to assess the knowledge of this disease among nurses and of bleeding risk factors for myocardial infarction patients who receive anticoagulant therapy and to identify the relationship between nurses' knowledge and demographic data.
