The Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, discussed the study of the effect of foliar spraying with glutathione and butyrate and the interaction between them on some physical, chemical and productive characteristics of date palms, cultivar Al-Hallawi. The letter of the researcher, Aseel Ali Farhoud Odeh Al-Sharifi, included two antioxidant agents, glutathione, in three concentrations (100,50,0) mg / liter and the growth regulator butyrosin in three concentrations of (0,50,100) mg / liter The thesis aims to find the best concentrations that achieve an increase in production and the quality of the yield, as well as to test the best treatment to reduce the negative effects of harsh environmental conditions, which is positively reflected on the quantity of the yield. The thesis concluded that the concentration of 100 mg / liter of the antioxidant glutathione and the growth regulator butyrosin and the interaction between them led to an increase in the improvement of most of the physical, chemical and productive characteristics of the date palm cultivar Al-Hallawi and its increased tolerance to abiotic environmental stress conditions. The thesis recommended the adoption of a concentration of 100 mg / liter of the antioxidant glutathione and the growth regulator butyrosin to achieve a significant increase for most of the studied traits, and a test of these two factors was conducted on date palm cultivars and other fruit trees.
