a doctoral thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah discussing (modeling and practical study of a double inclination solar still with a parabolic trough solar center). The thesis presented by the student Hazem Jassem Jaber dealt with the study of the thermal performance of two-slope solar distillation systems experimentally and numerically for water desalination purposes. The experimental test included a study of two cases.
Combined Solar Distillation System With Phase Change Basin
and the heliocentric unit while in the other case, the system was combined with a phase-changing material without a center unit
Solar. So the only effect that is taken into account is direct solar radiation coming from the sun through
solar distillation system. The system consists of three parts; Glass Lid, Water Basin, Candle Basin
down the water basin.
As for the numerical study, the temperature distribution was studied
steam, and the solid phase fraction in a phase change material, while flow lines and desalinated water productivity were among the most important
factors studied in the numerical simulation of the present work. OpenFOAM code was used in the current numerical study to simulate all cases where the (finite volume) method was used to solve the problem

The thesis concluded a comparison between numerical and experimental works, which showed good agreement between both studies regarding the degrees of
the temperature.
Where the error rate between the two studies does not exceed 3.8%, which confirms the validity of the numerical analysis used in the study
current. In addition, a comparison has been made with some of the previous research work which shows the congruence of the numerical results
