A scientific study entitled (Polylactide-perylene derivative for blue biodegradable organic light-emitting diodes) was conducted at the College of Science at the University of Basrah by the faculty members, Dr. Ola Ali Al-Watar, Dr. Atheer Mahmoud Haddad, and Dr. Basil Ali Abdullah, in partnership with researchers from the University of Manchester in Britain.
The study, which was published in the Polymer International Journal , classified within Scopus and Clarvate containers within the first quarter Q1 with an effect coefficient of 2.990, showed the possibility of preparing the organic light-emitting diode.
The results of the study proved the possibility of preparing the organic light-emitting diode that is biodegradable due to the presence of polylactide, which qualifies it to enter the biological applications inside the living body without any harm.
