The Department of Chemistry in the College of Science organized a scientific symposium at the University of Basrah on green chemistry and green pharmacy to reduce environmental pollution by Dr. Laila Jassem Abbas. The lecture aims to introduce the meaning of green chemistry and green pharmacy and their usefulness
The lecture included a statement on the impact of applying green chemistry and green pharmacy on reducing the pollution resulting from the use of chemicals in ineffective ways, which can either reduce their steps or replace the contributing factors to catalysts, as well as the use of environmentally friendly solvents with low toxicity, ignition and evaporation that harm humans, air, water and the environment in general.
