The college of Science in the Department of Mathematics discussed a master’s thesis entitled Analysis, Predicting and Controlling the COVID-19 Pandemic in Iraq through the SIR Model by graduate student Hadeer Samir Falih, The thesis aims to adopt two mathematical models, the standard SIR model, and the fractional SIR model, to describe COVID-19 in Iraq based on official data announced for cases of infection and recovery.
