The College of Pharmacy at Basrah University organized a panel discussion titled (The Relationship Between Calcium and Vitamin D Levels in the Blood with Insulin Resistance and Beta-Cell Dysfunction in Type 2 Diabetes Patients) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The panel discussion included a lecture given by researcher Zaman Rashid Hashem, in which she conducted a study on three groups of patients with type 2 diabetes, as well as susceptible and healthy people.
The panel discussion concluded that vitamin D has an effect on regulating blood sugar and reducing future diabetes rates.
