The Central Committee for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Safety (CBRN), in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy - University of Basrah organized a CBRN training course on occupational safety for postgraduate students. Postgraduates who have completed the academic course of the faculties of pharmacy and medicine to prepare them for the next stage (practical research) and to ensure their safety during that stage.
the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari said: The course included intensive lectures on chemical and biological safety and civil defense, presented by experienced professors from the members of the Central Committee of the CBRN, namely, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hassan Al-Shuaibawi, Prof. Dr. Labid Abdullah Najm, Assistant Professor Dr. Zuhair Ghalib Al-Shaheen from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Assistant Professor Dr. Anwar Abdel-Hassan from the College of Engineering. The course included several topics, including types of fire, the method of extinguishing, and the procedural steps of the evacuation plan, as well as the requirements of biosafety in addition to security and chemical safety.
