On Wednesday morning, 6 July 2022, in the Department of history at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah a master thesis entitled (Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan, his life and his political and cultural role in Yemen (1909-1974 )) was discussed.
The thesis presented by the student Mohsen Nayef Shabib included four chapters. The first chapter discussed Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan birth, upbringing and early cultural and political activity (1909 -1940 ) ,the second chapter dealt with the political role of Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan
(1941-1949) ,the third chapter discussed the position of Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan on the political developments in Yemen (1950-1961), and the fourth chapter dealt with the political role of Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan in the Republican era (1962-1974 ).
The thesis aims to show the political and cultural role of al-Numan as one of the most prominent figures in the Yemeni national and political movement in the Yemeni Arab Republic.
The thesis concluded that the personality of Ahmed Mohammed al-Numan had a major role in the political events in Yemen( 1909 – 1974 ).
