The Continuing Education and Development Center at the University of Basrah organized an online course on the precision of the Arabic language.
The aim of the course is to introduce participants to the topics of language precision to strengthen and develop their skills in reading and writing and to overcome spelling and grammatical errors in research, university theses, and administrative correspondence.
The course, presented by Dr. Muhammad Qasim Nima, included several topics, namely: the rules of writing (الهمزة والالف الفارقة), the rules of writing (التاء المفتوحة والمربوطة), punctuation marks, the adverb, the distinction, (المفعول لاجله), the additive, the number, (ان واخواتها), (كان واخواتها), and common spelling errors in theses and official documents.
In the end, it was recommended to continue holding such courses to pay attention to the Arabic language and its rules to spread the culture of speaking in a language close to the standard Arabic in order to enhance the ability of its employees to develop their language skills, and to overcome spelling and grammatical errors.
