The teaching staff at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Dr. Rafid Abdul-Raouf Dolab and Dr. Muhammad Sabbar, obtained a US patent titled (A new device for assessing drug permeability in the intestine using the data acquisition evaluation technique).
The patent included a method of drug transport across different barriers and membranes which is important in terms of pharmacological utility for enteral diffusion through biologics.
