Topic& Abstract: The dissertation tackles of homeland and exile, and we tried to delve into the prevailing poetic culture in the texts contained in the collection (Sorrows of the Iraqi year) by the poet Khazal Al-Majidi. The study is a continuation of some studies on Khazal Al Majidi's poetry.
Dissertation Outline: The dissertation falls into three chapters, Chapter one was entitled (home/place) as it is a place in which the poet lived and wrote the group in its early stages. The second chapter is entitled (Exile / Alienation), as it deals with the concept of exile and estrangement and the links between them and the causes of exile and the poet’s emigration. The third chapter, it came under the title: (Transformation and Criticism of the Other Self), and through it we explained the transformations that took place in performance and poetry that the poet took after moving between the homeland and exile.
Conclusion: The dissertation has come up with the following conclusion: The poet was able to embody the place by recalling all the places he passed through and to be a container for his vision, whether historical or current, and to document an important and articulated era of the bloody Iraqi history in an exciting and clear poetic style to the recipient in different forms).
