A master's thesis at Basrah University College of Medicine discussed IL-6, HE4 and BcL-2 levels as biomarkers for early diagnosis and confirmation of ovarian masses. The research presented by student Safa Hamid aims to investigate the role or effect of using biomarkers (IL-6, HE4 and BcL-2) to diagnose patients with appendicular masses. Where the results showed that the level of BcL2 of urine was among the variables with a significant statistical value for the history of infertility at a level of (0.04, 0.018) in both patients and the control sample, respectively. And that the average levels of BcL2 of urine was a high value in infected women who did not breastfeed Their children are breastfed while the level showed no statistical difference (P value = 0.052). The results of the clinical study related to menstrual disorders also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the levels of the three indicators between the classified groups. However, there was an increase in mean HE4 levels in patients with menorrhagia from the other groups but without any statistical difference (P value = 0.422). In women with adnexal mass, it also showed the highest performance in all specimens with mass. The combination of more than one biomarker measurement increases the sensitivity and specificity of distinguishing patients with adnexal mass diseases
