A scientific study at the College of Science at the University of Basrah prepared by the instructor, Dr. Shurooq Abdullah Najm, examined a new record of data belonging to the family of mouse spiders Gnaphosidae.
The study, which was published in the Journal of Evolutionary Systematics, classified within Scopus Q1 containers, showed that 6 species of spiders of the family Gnaphosidae were added to the fauna of land spiders in Iraq, where three genera and six species were described and were recorded for the first time in Iraq.
