A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, examined (study of variables affecting vibration analysis of beams fastened with screws) by student Zainab Asaad Hardan.The thesis dealt with the study of the vibration behavior in the beams that are fixed on one end and free from the other end, supported by simple supports and fixed from the two ends connected with screws of different types of structures under the influence of free and forced vibration
The effect of various variables such as configurations of girders, initial torque, amount and positions of harmonic force on natural frequency, shape of vibration pattern and amplitude was studied.
In the beams that are fixed on one end and free on the other, the predicate is simple and are fixed at the two ends numerically in succession, the finite element method was used (ANSYS Ver.16.1)
The results showed that the general trend observed in each type of the three beams was the same, as the natural frequencies of the beams tied with a single structure were almost equal to the beams without screws, but in the beam that is double-stranded, it was slightly less than that of the beam with the same configuration but without screws.
