(Evaluation and molecular characterization of biofilm protein efficiency for inducing protection against Staphylococcus aureus)
Ph.D. thesis of Huda Hakim Sadoon Al-Asadi and Supervised, Prof.Dr. Saad S. Mahdi Al-Amara and Prof.Dr. Wafaa Sadoon Shani at the College of the Science / University of Basrah, which included an evaluation of the portability of Bap protein from Staphylococcus aureus which has the ability to form a biofilm, and which isolated from tonsillitis patients. The study concluded the ability of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bacteria to form biofilms, as all isolates of this study contain biofilm-forming genes in addition to genes that especially to virulence factors, and the study concluded that the use of Bap protein to stimulate the immune response in rats led to an increase in the concentration of immune cytokines IL-17, IL-10, IFN-γ, as well as IgG. aureus and their potential as a vaccine for the protection that these proteins can provide. The study recommended that there be more molecular and immunological studies of Staphylococcus aureus, as well as the surface proteins of Staphylococcus aureus and the extent to which they can be used as a vaccine for the protection that these proteins can provide.
