Dr. Ammar Jassem, a member of the Iraqi Association for Project Management and a teacher at the College of Engineering, University of Basrah, participated in a workshop entitled (Building Information Modeling), which was held at the College of Engineering, University of Karbala, in partnership with the Iraqi Association for Project Management. The lecture was given by Dr. Ammar Jassem (Building Information Modeling for Industry). )
The lecture dealt with shedding light on the construction industry and what problems it suffers from, which is the main catalyst that led to the development of the idea of information management and then information modeling. The benefits of using BIM in design, construction and maintenance were also discussed, with realistic examples of these benefits being provided.
