Assistant Professor Dr. "Rafel Mahmoud Lafta", Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, indicated that work in laboratories has been started since 2016 with the quality of laboratories and within ISO / IEC17025 so that laboratories are certified locally and internationally with tests that are carried out for all private and public sectors, where work began two years ago, and many participated in many The courses are within the Iraqi Accreditation, Measurement and Quality Control Commission, where the last course (the uncertainty course) was held at the College of Engineering for the lecture, "Ilham Hussein Mustafa", Director General of the Iraqi Accreditation Bodies, and the Minister of Planning, Dr. The laboratory for metallic materials is the only college of engineering in the southern and central region that has obtained accreditation, and the second college in Iraq after the University of Baghdad.
